Beginner documentary guy.
Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns) (2002) -- Kind of a dismal documentary about the band They Might Be Giants. It might have even been okay in spite of its digital-camera-quality if Schnack had focused on the Johns themselves, but instead we get dumb "interpretations" and recollections from hipsters like Sarah Vowell and Dave Eggers who would make someone dislike TMBG if they didn't know any better. It's nice to see anything on these guys (the box for the DVD says "a movie about They Might Be Giants" which is sort of enough for fans), but let's hope there's a more definitive document one day. C
