The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1981) -- A made-for-TV six part TV mini-series which, in spite of its obvious low budget, does a pretty decent job of bringing the radio series / books to the small screen. In fact, it's more a more sucessful adaptation than the big-budget 2005 movie version, preserving the original tone of the comedy and presentation. B
