The Tune (1992) -- Bill Plympton's short cartoons, known as Plymptoons, became somewhat famous as MTV bumpers. They're pretty cool, with shaky pencil color drawings of blobby men morphing into each other, getting smacked in the head and contorted in all sorts of weird ways, and other things that follow a funny, violent Plympton cartoon logic. The Tune is an attempt to gather some of these shorts into a movie with a plot, but it would have been better if it were just presented as a series of shorts, since the plot part is the worst part of the movie.
