Great actor, great first time director (not sure about second and third time yet).
Sling Blade (1996) -- Everything about this movie is great. The story, the direction, Billy Bob Thornton, Dwight Yokum, the kid, John Ritter, Jim Jarmusch as the Dairy Queen guy... It's a great, sweet, hard-to-watch, kinda funny, charming, dark, complicated movie. Mmm hmmm. A
