Let it be known: I hate David Cronenberg. He's one of those guys who makes gross movies for the sake of shocking, and he wants you to believe he has some message, but he's just an idiot.
Dead Ringers (1988) -- I watched this when I was thirteen (and got in trouble for doing so) and didn't like it then, and probably wouldn't like it now. D
eXistenZ (1999) -- One of those piece of this "is this reality?" movies. It seems to think it's smart, but I can't think of it as anything more than a stupid idiot joke. A sucky piece of shit. F
A History of Violence (2005) -- A movie that makes Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, and William Hurt look like bad actors. The script feels like it was written by having some sixteen-year-old run his penis across a sheet of notebook paper (it was based on a graphic novel, which might help explain things). Like all male fantasy stories, this one has a rape scene, and of course the woman likes it (they always do). Another insulting classic from Cronenberg. F
