Sort of an interesting guy, from what I can tell. Would like to see more. Or not.
Three Kings (1999) -- An interesting movie, one where even Spike Jonze fits as a good actor. It's not the most memorable of movies, but something about it is really cool: maybe the color scheme sells it... or the "what's going on?" quality of the entire thing. A sort of polished confusion. C
I Heart Huckabees (2004) -- I'm sick of these "smart" movies that actually aren't smart at all. This is another one of those movies that feels like it was written by a college freshman trying to grapple with all these new zany thoughts in his head, and the fact that it was written and directed by a man almost fifty, and acted out by some of the best actors we have, makes the movie particularly annoying. Great title, though. D
