Shadow of the Vampire (2000) -- Someone had a good idea to fictionalize the making of Nosferatu with John Malkovich as Murnau and Willem Defoe as Schreck, making Schreck an actual vampire that victimizes the crew.  And although a bit of the movie is as fun and interesting as it sounds, not nearly enough of it is.  The surreality of the movie wants to unfold like American Psycho did, but instead it just becomes confusing or dumb.  In spite of its faults, however, it's worth watching, especially if you're a fan of the 1922 movie.
