Norwegian director.

Insomnia (1997) -- Stellen Skarsgård gives a great performance as a character who is equal parts guilt and self-serving.  He's never a likeable character (the other killer in the movie is moreso than him), but it's interesting to watch the lengths he will go through to cover his tracks, even if the only reason he's covering them is -- primarily -- that he's "embarrassed."  Nice and moody throughout.
