Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) -- This movie shows how important a director is, I suppose--or at least how completely different two versions of the same story can be when handled by two people. Joss Whedon's wrote this script, but it wasn't until he took the idea into his own hands for the TV show that it really became greatness. What we have here is something that's not horrible, but mostly just a slightly-above-average goofy teen movie. C
