Children of the Corn (1984) -- To hear my brother talk about this movie in 1984, when I was nine, this sounded like the spookiest thing ever. Biblically-named children (the scary ones, like Malachi) killing adults in a cornfield worshipping He Who Walks Behind the Rows... And when I watched it myself years later, the weird face of Isaac was scary enough to make me think it really was cool. But I kept watching, and nothing much made sense or was too scary. Turns out this movie's only creepy when you talk about it. (David F. Price directs the sequel, Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice.) C
