National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) -- A very funny movie that captures the American family on vacation perfectly--or at least how it feels. (See Amy Heckerling for the sequel, National Lampoon's European Vacation.)
Groundhog Day (1993) -- One of my favorite movies, it surpasses anything that anyone might have thought the SNL/SCTV crew could have pulled off. It's a perfect movie.
Stuart Saves His Family (1995) -- I only watched this because many reviews talked about it being a sad and serious movie about real dysfunction, only disguised as a comedy. But all that stuff must have happened after the 40-minute mark, when I turned it off from being so boring and non-funny.
