Terry Jones

Monty Python member who directs and writes.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1974) -- Co-directed with Terry Gilliam.  Though I'm not really a fan of Monty Python, this movie has lots of moments that make it worth watching (and many that make it worth shutting off--including reprises of the moments that make it worth watching).  The worst thing about the movie, of course, is the fans who recite all the lines.  If you're watching this for the first time, I recommend doing it alone so as not to be annoyed. The Life of Brian (1979) -- Probably the funniest Monty Python movie, with an actually interesting (not just absurd) story about a man whose life parallels Jesus'.  Contains a lot less of those annoying Python moments than the TV show and some of the other movies. B
