The Beatle who eventually got into the movie business as a producer, mostly working with the Monty Python guys and their movies.
Magical Mystery Tour (1967) -- Directed with Bernard Knowles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr. The Beatles' third film was a made-for-TV movie directed by the Beatles themselves, running at around an hour. Where A Hard Day's Night was brilliant and Help! at least had some goofy fun, this one is a whole lotta dismal with the occasional brightness that makes it worth watching. The songs, as always, are great, and the "music video" segments work the best. C
